Inside the Hive: The Beezle Extraction Process
At Beezle, extraction is our beating heart. For more than a decade, we’ve been at the forefront of cannabis concentrates, driven by an obsessive commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Every product that leaves our hive reflects the science-driven mindset of the team behind it. If we wouldn’t use it ourselves, we won’t release it.
Transparency and education guide everything we do because quality cannabis matters. Better products are less likely to contain harmful contaminants, creating a safer, more reliable experience. Just as important is effectiveness. The right balance of cannabinoids and terpenes can enhance therapeutic potential for medical users while delivering the rich flavor and aroma that recreational consumers appreciate. Quality over quantity has always been our path.
Starting with the Source
Exceptional concentrates begin with exceptional material. We partner with trusted, vetted cultivators who meet our hive’s high standards. Harvested material is frozen within minutes to preserve aroma, flavor, and potency by protecting delicate terpenes and cannabinoids. When properly stored, fresh frozen material maintains its integrity for extended periods, allowing us to capture the full essence of the plant.
Solventless Extraction: Tradition Meets Craft
One of the oldest and most respected extraction methods is solventless processing. Using only ice, water, agitation, and precision micron screens, we mechanically separate the trichome heads from the plant material. The result is bubble hash, which can then be gently pressed with low heat and pressure to create rosin — a flavorful, potent concentrate and a true house favorite.
Solventless extraction requires specific trichome characteristics, meaning not every cultivar is suitable for this process. When the genetics align, the results can be exceptional.
Hydrocarbon Extraction: Precision and Efficiency
For cultivars not ideal for solventless production, we utilize advanced closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction systems. These state-of-the-art machines use butane to dissolve cannabinoids and terpenes while minimizing unwanted compounds like waxes and chlorophyll.
The closed-loop system allows us to recover and recycle solvent efficiently, reducing waste and improving sustainability. After extraction, the concentrate is placed in a vacuum oven to remove any residual solvent. From there, our post-production team crafts the material into a variety of final forms, including sauce, badder, butter, diamonds, or shatter.
There’s often hype around what method is “better” or “safer.” At Beezle, we believe quality speaks for itself. Different cultivars and extraction methods highlight different aspects of the plant. To truly experience the full spectrum of cannabis, it’s important to stay open-minded and trust the craftsmanship behind the product.
Testing and Compliance
Before any product reaches dispensary shelves, it undergoes rigorous third-party testing. In Maryland, the MCA requires comprehensive safety and compliance testing, conducted by licensed independent laboratories. Every batch is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets state standards before it reaches consumers.
Science-Driven. Craft-Focused.
While we’re best known for concentrates, our science-first mindset shapes everything we create. Sustainability remains a priority, with closed-loop systems helping minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
At Beezle, nothing leaves the hive unless it meets our standards — and those standards are the same ones we hold for ourselves. That commitment to craft is what keeps us proud of every product we share with you.
